September Jam Session

On Friday, September 19, 2014, Charleston Elementary School staff and volunteers held a dinner to thank singers and musicians who have been performing at our monthly Jam Sessions. The monthly Jam Sessions are held at Charleston at no cost to the public. It is a great way for local musicians, community and students to get together to perform and listen to great music. A donation jar was suggested and all donations go to Charleston’s Music Program.

The Ice Bucket Challenge on the First Day of School

What better way to celebrate the first day of school then a challenge to the teachers and staff? Our amazing staff accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge to increase awareness with ALS and support our unified theme of "Stand By Me." Our hope is to instill positive values and the importance of standing by each other in times of need. We will continue to highlight ongoing "Stand By Me" themes throughout the year.
